Google Drive

Connect Google Drive so Fabric agents can list, search, and read your Drive documents as runtime knowledge actions.

Connect Google Drive to Fabric AI so agents and workflows can list, search, and read your Drive documents — as live runtime actions, on demand.

Google Drive is a Knowledge provider: it offers read/retrieval actions, not write actions.

Setting Up Google Drive

Open Google Drive under Integrations

Go to Settings → Integrations and open the Google Drive card.

Set Up Actions

Click Set Up Actions and authorize Fabric AI on Google's consent screen. Sign in with the Google account whose Drive you want Fabric to access.

Confirm

The provider shows Connected with its available runtime actions. Agents can now call them live.

Using a Google Workspace account? Your admin may need to approve the Fabric OAuth app before you can connect.

Using in AI Chat

"What does our company handbook say about remote work policies?"

"Summarize the Q4 financial report from Drive"

"Find the design specifications for the mobile app"

The agent calls Drive's knowledge actions live to find and read the relevant documents — there's no background sync to wait on.

Multiple Accounts

Connect multiple Google accounts:

  • Personal Google account for your own documents
  • Organization shared drives for team content
  • Each connection is identified by its account / workspace

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you're signing in with the correct Google account
  • If using a Google Workspace account, your admin may need to approve the OAuth app

An action returns no results

  • Confirm the connection shows Connected under Settings → Integrations
  • Make sure the signed-in account has access to the files you expect
